PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapeutic methods have an important part in the physiotherapy of a patient with functional defects of locomotory and nervous system. These defects can be caused by injuries or degenerative processes. Physiotherapy after orthopaedic operations is very important to get the results better. The principle of physiotherapy is in the application of movements on various tissues and organs to make a feedback of organism. The organism reacts e.g. by better extension of movements in joints, lower degree of pain or higher muscle strength or better motor activity. The advantage is also an absence of side effects.
Physiotherapeutic methods are divided into 2 groups:
- active - a patient has to contribute to the treatment
- passive - hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, phototherapy, massages, cryo and thermotherapy (patient does not contribute actively to this method)
MVC offers to physiotherapy of patients:
- creation of individual physiotherapeutic programmes
- methods of active physiotherapy – water therapy - training and exercises
- methods of passive physiotherapy - lasertherapy - passive movements in joints - hydrotherapy
